As a provider of property report software, Spectre offers estate agents a powerful way to generate and share detailed, visually engaging property reports with clients. To help estate agents maximise the impact of these shared reports, we also enable the integration of Google Tag Manager (GTM) on the public pages of the reports they share.
What is Google Tag Manager?
Google Tag Manager (GTM) is a free tool from Google that lets you add, manage, and update small pieces of tracking code, known as "tags," to the public pages of Spectre Property Reports.
How Can Estate Agents Use GTM with Spectre Property Reports?
By using GTM, you can gain a range of insights into how customers interact with the reports you share:
- Report Views: Track how often a shared report is opened by clients.
- Clicks on Specific Property Details: Measure engagement with various sections.
- Interaction with Contact Options: Track clicks on “Contact us” or “Request a valuation" and social links within the report, allowing you to identify when a client might be ready to take the next step.
By using GTM, you can add third party tools to your reports and landing pages:
- Advertising and re-targeting tools: allows you to measure the effectiveness of ad campaigns, track user behaviour, and retarget visitors with personalised advertising with tools like Meta Pixels and LinkedIn tags.
- Customer Support and Chat Tools: allows you to offer immediate assistance, answer questions, and enhance user engagement. Tools like Intercom, Drift, Zendesk Chat, or LiveChat can be easily added using GTM, giving you a streamlined way to manage and deploy these features.
- User Feedback and Survey Tools: enables you to gather insights from customers in a non-intrusive and efficient manner. Tools like Google Forms, Hotjar, Typeform, SurveyMonkey, or Qualtrics can be easily added via GTM.
- See the Google Tag Manager help centre for more information on tools you can integrate with GTM and how to get them set up.
Why Use GTM with Spectre Property Reports?
- Better Client Insights: By tracking interactions with shared reports, you can gain valuable insights into client preferences.
- Enhanced Marketing Effectiveness: With GTM data, you can adjust marketing strategies based on client interactions with your reports. For example, you might retarget clients who viewed a specific report multiple times, or advertise similar properties to them.
- Real-Time Engagement Tracking: GTM provides live insights, so you know right away when a report is being viewed or when a client shows interest in specific details. This can help you prioritise follow-ups or proactively reach out to clients at the right moment.
How to Set Up GTM with Spectre Property Reports?
Please visit the Google Tag Manager help centre or contact your web developer to get your Google Tag Manager account set up. This isn’t something the Spectre team can help you with.
Add the GTM unique code to your Spectre Property Reports settings
In your property reports settings, under the report design tab, you will find a tracking and tags section. Your unique code should be placed here. You can use the same unique code across different accounts.
