Sending Postcards

To start your journey by sending a bespoke campaign, you’ll first need to create a letter or a postcard. In this guide, we’ll talk you through how to create a postcard template or select an existing template. 

When you enter the Campaigns Feature, you’ll see all of your own postcard templates under the ‘My Templates’ tab. These will be all of the designs that you have previously created, you can use one of these templates should you wish to do so by selecting it from the list.

Alternatively, you can select to ‘Create a Template’ from scratch or use the tab ‘Template Library’ to view Spectres’ inspiration gallery. 

1. Firstly you would need to select ‘Create a New Template’ from the right-hand side of your screen and then select ‘New Postcard’,  from here you will be presented with a blank canvas to get you started.
2. Once you’re in the postcard editor you can add text, images or shapes by clicking the ‘Add Element’ button.  You would use the scroll bar or select the ‘Front’ or ‘Rear’ button to design each side of the template and any elements that have been added will appear in a list on the left side. 
3. You can click on each of these to amend the rotation, opacity, zoom, or simply remove the component completely. You can also drag elements up the list so that they overlay in a preferred format, you would do this by selecting the six dots on the right-hand side of the specific layer and dragging it to the position of choice.  
4. If you’re creating a template and you would like to personalise it by adding a new image each time you send out a Campaign, you can add a Variable Image Placeholder, this would allow you to easily amend the image each time you run through the journey. 
5. To do this go to ‘Add Element’ select ‘Image’ and then ‘Image Placeholder’. (This placeholder can then be replaced by a new image during the Campaign's journey by selecting the element and then ‘Choose Image’.) 
   
   

One of the questions we get asked most at Spectre by our users is ‘What kind of campaign would you send right now?’ In order to solve this, we’ve created a huge postcard template library full of different campaign ideas which you can use, edit and send, saving you time and money.

1. Open Campaigns
2. Click Template Library
3. Scroll through all of the available designs. If you hover over one, you can preview the front and the back, or click ‘choose’ to edit it
4. From here, you can edit the postcard - replace the templated logo with your own, make any changes to the design and add in your QR codes or offers
   
   Once you’re happy with the design, and everything has been added, you can preview and click ‘Continue’ to complete the Campaigns journey!
