Merge Fields

Merge Fields let you automatically insert commonly used information into your letters, saving time and ensuring consistency. You can update merge fields under Settings > Merge Fields.

Branch Information & Custom Fields

These fields allow you to add details about your branch that will automatically appear in your letters when you include the relevant merge fields.

  • Editable Fields:

    • Fill in contact details like branch name, location, manager name, and up to 10 custom fields. Custom fields are flexible to you and can be used to add extra information or testimonials you may want to include.

  • Non-Editable Fields:

    • Some fields—such as Branch Contact Number, Branch Email Address, and Website—are managed exclusively from your Account Settings page. These fields appear greyed out in the merge fields list and cannot be edited here. To update these:

      • Click Edit next to the field in the merge fields list, or

      • Click your name/account in the top right corner, then go to Settings > Manage Account and use the pen icon to edit the details.

  • How to Use:

    • Insert a merge field by typing the corresponding label in your letter—for example, [[branch_email_address]] will add the branch email address. This allows you to update information in one place without editing each letter individually.

  • Custom Fields:

    • Use custom fields (e.g., [[custom_field_1]]) to add extra content like testimonials or promotional text. Once filled in, these will automatically update in every letter using that merge field.

Tip: Merge fields must be enclosed within double brackets (e.g., [[example_field]]) to be recognised and work correctly.

Property Information Merge Fields

Property merge fields add details about the specific property your letter targets, such as the address, weeks on the market, and other relevant data about the specific property.

  • These are available in the Merge Fields dropdown within the content editor when creating or editing templates.

Important: Some property merge fields only work with certain campaign journeys. For example, merge fields designed for on-market properties should not be used in journeys that include off-market properties, as this will cause errors and prevent letters from being sent.
