Create a Story

Stories allow you to create short-form, highly visual content designed for quick impact and engagement. With Spectre Social, you can publish Stories directly to Instagram and Facebook, helping you showcase properties, branded, in a fast, scroll-friendly format.

Stories are ideal for spotlight content, quick social touch points, and maintaining frequent brand visibility without needing to publish a full feed post. This guide will walk you through how to create and customise a Story, choose your design and visuals, and publish it across your connected channels.

How to Create a Story

• Navigate to the Dashboard

• Select Create New

• Choose Story

You can start from scratch or choose from the pre-designed templates available in the Story template library.

Creating a Story from Scratch

• Select Start from scratch

• Select Properties

  • Currently, Stories can only be created for properties

• Choose the property you want to feature

  • Filter by branch or property status if needed

• Choose your design

  • Select a template from the library for consistent branding

  • Note: The chosen design will apply to all images selected for this Story

• Add your images

  • Select images pulled from your CRM/Portal

  • Or upload your own photos

  • Note: Each image you add will generate its own Story slide when published

• Optional: Use Canva integration

  • Connect your Canva account to import branded graphics or visuals directly into your Story

Once you are happy with your Story design and images, review it and publish immediately.

Pre-Designed Story Templates

You can also choose to create a Story using one of Spectre’s pre-designed templates. These templates automatically use your property data and include pre-selected properties to help speed up creation and maintain consistent branding.

Available templates include:

• Coming Soon – promote upcoming properties to generate early interest and enquiries

• Just Reduced – highlight price reduced listings to increase visibility and drive more viewings

• Recently Listed – showcase newly listed properties to capture the attention of prospective clients

How to Use a Pre-Designed Template

• Hover over the template you want to use

• Select Edit Template to customise it, or select Add to Story to automatically add that slide to your Story and select which accounts to publish to

If you choose Edit Template, you can:

• Select which social accounts to publish to

• Change the selected property

• Edit or replace the main image

• Add or select additional images

• Use the Canva integration to import branded graphics or upload your own visuals

Once you are happy with the template and content, review it and select Add to Story to publish immediately.
